Visitors

My good friend Jessica and her daughter Grace (aka the smartest 3 year old on the planet) paid us a visit on Monday. They were in town for a funeral and stayed at our place. It was great to see them both since I haven't seen Jessi in over a year and Grace was an infant the last time I saw her!! All in all, it was a great visit - although too short. Jessi is 4 months pregnant so we had to take a picture of both of us and our expanding stomachs - I won the prize for the biggest.

Ultrasounds

So to date we've had a total of 4 ultrasounds - one in the very beginning when I switched doctors, another in August (we heard the heartbeat for the 1st time), the big one in September where we learned he's a HE (no question) and a level II u/s last week. The level II was more detailed than any of the previous ones. It was done after they discovered a small choroid plexus cyst on the baby's brain in September - but luckily, the level II u/s confirmed the cyst had cleared up on its own, which they often do. Needless to say, we were relieved to know everything was OK for sure. Here are a few pics from each of the ultrasounds.

Here we go....

So I thought about starting a blog shortly after we found out we were expecting. Well, for those of you who can do the math and know my love of procastination, it should come as no surprise that it's 4 1/2 months later and I'm just now getting around to starting this.

I thought a blog would be a good way to chronicle this new adventure and provide our family and friends (especially those who live out of town) a way to share in the experience. So here we go.....

This is definitely going to be a 'learn as we go' type of thing so feel free to make suggestions, point out what we're doing wrong, etc.... I guess the same could be said for the other 'experiment' we're about to tackle (aka parenthood) so the same rules apply. My husband is definitely the more technically savvy one so go easy on me in the beginning.

Hope you enjoy reading about our lives in the next few months and looking forward to hearing from you.
